About Malvani Cuisine
Malvani cuisine, blending Maharashtrian and Goan flavors, heavily features coconut in paste or milk form. Its spiciness varies by region. Central to its dishes is the Malvani masala, a blend of 15-16 dry spices. Seafood, especially fish, is prominent, particularly in Mumbai. A notable specialty is Solkadhi, a pink drink made from kokam fruit and coconut milk, often consumed after a spicy Malvani meal for its soothing properties.
